KOTONA COMMUNITY
We are a community of yoga teachers, coaches, spa therapists, ayurveda specialists and shaman with the vision of creating a world to help people expanding their consciousness, improving their health and reducing stress. For this purpose, we are designing Yoga Classes and Retreats.
elina
Born and raised in Latvia with a strong connection to nature and land. Last 12 years I have been living in this beautiful country Switzerland.
I truly discovered yoga while being in India, where I did my TTC training, it opened my heart to what really matters and made me look beyond. Yoga brings me peace, balance, I feel connected to myself and the Universe.
I teach a mix of ashtanga, and vinyasa flow. My classes are dynamic with focus on the breath, followed by meditation, mantra chanting, and sound healing elements at the end. I also do Tibetan sound healing sessios (private and group). Sound healing sessions are a great way to relax your body and mind from all the stress and anxiety of everyday life. Sound healing improves sleep, unlocks blocked energy and brings a feeling of calmness.
I teach in English, German , Russian and Latvian.

I completed my yoga teacher training at the Ashiyana Yoga School in India. The place inspired me deeply and that's how I got the vision of KOTONA in 2019. I wanted to create a place of power where people meet with heart and where there is space for peace.
Yoga gives us, free of dogmas and without the raised index finger of morality, in loving recognition of human beings and their weaknesses, the tools to climb the highest mountain there is: ourselves.
The knowledge of yoga is a gift and I would like to pass it on. My teaching practices include philosophy, pranayama (breathwork), meditation and, depending on the level, basic hatha, vinyasa or kundalini.
I teach in English or German.
KUMAR
Kumar Vaidyar comes from a traditional Ayurveda family in Kerala/ India. As an Ayurveda healer, he has been able to help many people with his treatments who have suffered from depression, burnout, stiff joints and, for example, multiple sclerosis.
"Ayurveda is a healing medicine that is thousands of years old and that my family has been practicing for over 200 years. Ayurveda treatments can be used to specifically resolve blockages."
CARMEN
Travelling through the south of India for the first time, it was mainly to fill this deep spiritual
desire to connect myself with the motherhood of Yoga.
I have practiced Yoga on a regular basis before to canalize my overspreading energies, to
become rooted and calm at work. Because of curiosity I did my first YTTC with Sampoorna in
Goa and started teaching in England, Switzerland and Egypt.
After my second trip and another yoga teacher training in Rishikesh I started to guide and
teach Yogis in a more holistic way. Therefore, I started to set up retreats in Austria and in the
south of Europe for a fuller immersion into the yogic way of living.
I teach and cue in Sanskrit, English, (Swiss-) German and French.
Breathwork – Pranayama - accomplishes rhythmic Vinyasa flows or powerful Ashtanga
sessions whereas meditation goes along with Yin lessons.
I am deeply convinced that you can share what you care for – love, compassion, energy,
gratitude.
But to keep it short “rather doing it instead of talking and thinking about it” will make the
difference.
